Cleaning and Maintaining Castella Cabinet Fittings
Different finishes have unique characteristics—some maintain their original shine for years, while others develop a patina over time. Regardless of the finish, proper care will ensure long-lasting beauty. Regularly clean all finishes with mild detergent and a soft microfiber cloth, then dry them thoroughly. For added protection, apply a non-abrasive furniture polish and buff with a soft cloth.
Avoid using abrasive materials or cleaners, as they can damage the handles and void the warranty.
Solid Brass and Bronze
Brass and bronze hardware is corrosion-resistant and naturally antimicrobial. As living finishes, these materials will gradually tarnish over time due to atmospheric exposure. Our Satin Brass handles include a protective lacquer to minimize discoloration. However, in environments with high humidity, coastal air, or extreme weather, the finish may wear faster and develop tarnish, which is a natural process and may not be covered by our Lifetime Guarantee.
